Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Goes International

Microsoft announced that it’s working with OEMs and device manufacturers to offer Media Center PCs later this year to five new countries: Australia, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. MSFT is really trying to be the standard in your theater/living room. I do feel that MCE 2004 is one of the best DVRs, mostly because it gives me full access to the file system, no need to hack to extract video assets (like I do with my TiVo). That and their great WMV9 High Definition codec gives them a pretty good reason to want control of our living room.
