Jon, Good question… I don’t know which LCD panel they are using, they say it’s a 1280×720 display, but I’ve personally never seen a 7″ 1280×720 “WXGA” TFT panel. Maybe Samsung or some other LCD OEM makes one.

If it’s 1280×720, it’s not VGA. I don’t know what silly combination of letters it would be, but it ain’t VGA.
Companies really need to stop using those damn meaningless codes, anyway. The numbers are far more useful, and really, it’s not like UI’s use terms like “UXGA”, they tend to use the numbers.
Grumble.
