I use collars that you use on RC planes. You can buy at a hobby shop, just find the right diameter… they look like this (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD834&P=SM)

You did a very nice implementation of this chandeleer!
I have a couple of questions:
How do you prevent the clips from sliding down each rod?
Are the clips hanging by the little loop that you use to open the clip?
How do you prevent the rods from sliding through the wire mesh?

I used heat shrink tubing for the tips… but in Black. Original is red.

The head of each rod has a kind of a tiny red cover. Is it painted red ? Or is it a plastic cover ? Where can i find some ?

The rods I have and used are 36″ stainless steel rod/wire about .09mm thick. They are almost identical to the original rods used. There is a local lighting store that had the lighting up that I would study.

The rods you got, were they allready cut or did you cut them yourself ?
I’ve been to a couple of places and all they have is some sort of stainless steel rolls .045” by the lb, some kind of a wire. I don’t know what to do. The wire is too soft to me.

Nope, it’s about 80 (depending on how full you want it — I have about 75) … since they don’t go all the way through, not long enough. I got them from a surplus supply by the lb.

Are you sure it’s not 40 stainless steel welding rods instead of 80 ? Cause, to hang 80 sheets of rice paper you only need 40 rods(2 sheets by rod). It sounds more logical to me but i could be wrong!!
Where did you find the rods ? A welding store ?
