Myro Control Releases 8″ In-Wall Touchpanel and v1.5 of Myro:Home

Myro Control has announced the availability of their 8″ in-wall touchscreen panel and version 1.5 of the Myro:Home interface control software. The in-wall touchscreen panel features a fan-less design that is both energy efficient and elegant looking while the latest software release adds support and features from HAI’s new firmware 3.0 (or greater) release. If you have a HAI OmniPro Home Automation system running firmware 3.0 (or greater) you should do yourself a favor and check out Myro Control today.

The 8″ in-wall panel with software retails for $1999 and the software only option retails for $249 and $498 depending on features needed.

If anyone needs an HAI board - I have a couple that were OEM called OnQ HMS. Same as the Omnipro and Omni2e and they are new in box. just email me.

At my home I have the HAI/HMS system talking to my crestron over the ethernet network and it does very well, with only a couple of bugs. I use my Iphone from anywhere to check and control my temperature and security - easy and cool.

By the way - I am looking for the least expensive Windows XP Embedded and fanless touchscreen available. Any suggestions?

The problem with media center is that quick access to controls is not viable. I've done MCML (Native media center UI coding) and turning on a display, navigating to the HA screens and selecting or viewing status is not instant like a panel. Current focus is mobile device control before MCE.

HAI Studio is not comparable to Myro at all... that's why installers that have used both keep using Myro in projects. Plus, HAI's software runs on WINCE since it's created by Aurora Multimedia (they make the 10p and the software looks like Aurora's UI builder).

Not sure what you mean that it has "made it's way to PC's"? Technically everything is a PC these days. The key is in the details and HAI doesn't focus on that with their UI designs and capabilities... that's where Myro helps out.

I think Media Center is here to stay; CEDIA should bring a handful of big announcements that will demonstrate Microsofts commitment to the platform.

HAI Automation Studio may dilute what you have going here if it makes its way to PC's and in a way, it already has. Media Center could be a great niche though, I know that I would buy three pretty quickly!

Yes, I have. However, I'm waiting to see what happens with Media Center before I invest time into that platform. Seem like Microsoft is positioning themselves more with XBOX than Media Center.

Danny, have you ever thought about releasing an MCML version of this? HAI has a Media Center program, but it's horrible. I'd love to have a nice, updated MCML version...

Anyway, looks great!
