Hello, I recently made both the EZ-10 and EZ-12 antenna reflectors and tested them on my WPNT 834a RangeMax wireless router which has 3 broadcasting antennas and is a MIMO router. Today I woke up to having my DC transformer blown. And I am thinking it's because these reflectors cause the router to suck more amps. Have you heard anything like this happening before? Luckily I have an universal tranformer I am using now to write here in this blog. Also, I have found that my EZ-12, which is 1.75x's bigger than the original template doesn't work as well as my 3 EZ-10s I have reduced by a 1/3 to fit on each antenna. For the Ez-10s I had to trim the left and right side of the outer antennas so they don't interfere with the transmission from the middle antenna. Please if you have any input of why my transformer may have blown if it's possible that these reflectors cause my router to suck more amps I would like to know so I can just do with out them and get another wifi router and use it as a repeater.

Could anyone here please help me? I have tried both the writer of the article on building your own biquad dish antenna,and trevor marshall, no one seems interested in responding. the following is the letter which will explain my dilema!
. I have built the antenna element,with the female N-connector. managed to get hold of an old dishnet offset antenna, exactly the same as yours, modified the LNB, I have 20 ft of RG-213 with n-connectors on each end. I plan on using the antenna on my rooftop initially. . This is where I am running into problems I am using a macintosh e-mac with an apple airport extreme card do I connect the RG-213 directly to the airport extreme card and if so can you tell me what type of pigtail I will need (or at least the connectors I will need for each end) and where I might be able to purchase them. Second- can I use my external antenna to plug into a router, then broadcast to my wifi card, if so what type of pigtail will I need and how do I configure the router to do this. I think I jumped the gun on this project as I ordered 2 pigtails from 2 different
companys the first was RP- TNC-to N male pigtail - LMR -195 the reason I did this, I borrowed a friends D-Link router assuming the connections would fit. no luck Even if it had I am not sure where to go from there. second is a MCX male (straight) to N male pigtail I Havent received this as of Friday morning, i am assuming this is the right connection for my apple airport extreme card. I am running Mac OSX 10.4 with Kismac as my network detector I can detect at least 4 sometimes 6 open networks in my house over the course of an evening.of course all too weak to do anything with. As you can tell I am quite green at this, am I close? any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
