Sharp Expands AQUOS Line With HDTV LCDs

Sharp has expanded their AQUOS line to include true, full High Definition televisions. Now the two models to note are the GD4U which yields resolutions of 1366x768 resolution and the GD6U which offers a full 1080p @ 1920x1080. Both offer built-in CableCARD for “plug and play” capability, this is an example of the new “Digital Ready TVs” I posted about earlier. Now you can enjoy the latest cable-TV HDTV programming without the added bulk or expense of an additional set-top box. These integrated HDTVs, are available in 26-, 32- and 37-inch and soon 45- inch screen sizes and offer the widest selection of screen sizes, speaker configurations and unit colors of LCD TVs. Prices start at $2,300.
