Westinghouse Digital Photo Frames - All Formats

Related Entries: Electronics

A few years back I bought my sister a CEIVA photo frame as a gift — she loved it. Until the frame stopped working, a couple months before the year subscription ended. I tried calling and emailing CEIVA, but it seemed no one was ever there, must be an autopilot company. The CEIVA frame should have had the ability to insert a memory card, but it was not their business model (subscription). Anyways, it was during that time I wondered why Apple didn’t come out with one of these. An inexpensive photo frame that uses WiFi, could even act as an Airport Express, to beam photos from your iPhoto. I bet Apple could sell such an item for $300, easily! Instead, they focus on the iPod and try to milk every last cent from it — you can tell I’m burnt out on the iPod.

Westinghouse, a company known for its old ranges and circuit panels now has a Digital division focusing on new inexpensive products, hence the DPF-0561. However, they didn’t cheap out on features! This frame houses a 5.6-inch LCD display that is easily customizable to match your decor styling by attaching included interchangeable mahogany, black or brushed aluminum frames. I think this is the only frame on the market to even accept the XD memory card. It offers 8MB of internal flash memory for storing images and is also compatible with CF I/II, MS, SD, and MMC flash memory cards. The best part!? The DPF-0561 will retail for only $150 and should be in retail stores soon…
