It’s official, every auto manufacturer is getting on the iPod bandwagon, to be different (ha!). Jaguar (the auto maker) is offering visitors to its X-Type Web site the opportunity to win a limited edition black Apple iPod. Unlike the iPods Unite promotion that was a joint venture with Apple and VW, this seems like a deal Jaguar is doing themselves. I think they are black (carbon) painted versions of the white iPod you and I currently have. Check out colorware, the photo looks the same as on the Jaguar website. There were a total of 75 black iPods made, but there is only one left, which will be given away on August 1, 2004 from Jaguar’s Web site. So if you really, really want one… you can order as many black ones you like from Colorware. I just wish Apple would get off the white shiny plastic trend. I’d love an ALpod.
