ABC Full Episode Player (FEP) Goes “HD”

We just added the “HD” channel with 1280×720 resolution, 1.5-2mbps episodes to the ABC Full Episode Player. It supports PC (Vista too!) and the Mac, we are pushing the limits here, so please submit your comments on the Official ABC Developer’s Blog. I've got to say it's simply sad that accompanying HD means losing Linux support. Linux population is growing so why not support it, you're only going to lose viewers.

I missed an episode of Boston Legal and cannot get it to play without skipping.
I have Firefox.
I changed Flashblocker to allow flash,
but still have the buffering problem.

I installed the player a week ago and trying to make it work since. I tried it in Firefox and Explorer enabled pop ups and cookies and when the player launches I get gray window. What I'm doing wrong?

My operating system is Vista. I've taken the speed test and my speed is more than fast enough. I've disabled my popup blockers and turned off my Trend Micro while trying to install the plug in. I'm running IE 7
Why can't I install the update plug in and watch the episodes.

It is truly unfortunate that Mavromatic chooses to alienate a segment of its viewers simply because they don't want to bother setting up code for linux. For Pete's sake, people, it doesn't even have to be open-source! Thanks for nothing. I'll get the files illegally. Thanks, Bittorrent.

No linux support means I'll be going to bittorrent for these episodes. I'd much rather support ABC but you guys leave me no choice.

My wife wants Lost. She doesn't care why you don't support Linux. WTF? Thanks for supporting choice.

Very cool. It's awesome that ABC offers this great service for free. Now I just need the new season of Lost to start to take advantage of this. Bronx is Burning in SD will have to do for now :-).

Jim,
Linux is not currently supported by the video technology we are using to deliver such high quality content (the original Flash version did). Last time I checked, there were no near future plans to support Linux due to the number of our users running Linux :(

My wife watches this all the time- she'll be happy!
Just curious - is there any reason there is no Linux support - is that coming? I haven't tried it yet at home on my Ubuntu box.
