My Favorite Home Automation Controller

If you are looking for the ultimate home automation solution, you need to check out what HAI has to offer. I’m currently installing OmniPro II in my new home and there is nothing my house won’t be able to do. Imagine coming home at 10 o’clock at night, the system knows the time, when you open the garage door the system turns on certain lights to guide you to your bedroom. After the system notices no movement in the home, via motion sensors, the lights turn off. This is just one example of how a properly designed and integrated home automation system can work. The OmniPro can control your HVAC, Lighting, Security, and almost anything else you throw at it. If you are in the market for a home automation system, you need to look at HAI very seriously. Contact me directly if you have any questions, since I am a user and a big fan.

  • Hi I read your post about HAI being your favorite home automation controller. I am in the process of constructing my house and I want to know what wiring should I home run to my data closet from HAI Omni Pro II. This is what I have already ran. 2 cat6 andn 2 RG6 to each room in the house. Cat5 to each thermostat, cat5 to the sprinkler box, rg58/2 for 8 cctv locations, cat 5 for intercom, and ran all wiring for 3 Russound CAV6.6's, and some abus areas. I ran high quality all copper for Russound video out.
What else do you recommend that I should run? Is the Omni Pro in itself also a alarm panel or does it control a third party alarm panel?
I heard there is a firmware being released from HAI for CAV6.6 that will be very cool.
    Thanks

  • Shawn,
Sounds like you have things covered, I would run as much cable as possible... I would run a couple more cat5 to the sprinkler depending on how many zones (if you ever expand).
As for the OmniPro II it is everything, an alarm panel too! So you don't need a third party unit.
The CAV6.6 firmware is already out... be sure you have v2.9 or greater.
