Just downloaded the newest iPhone SDK (3.2) and ran the Myro:Home iPhone app in the iPad Simulator. It works (you can press the 2x to zoom it, seen in the second image) Once I release the iPhone app, I will be focusing on making a native version for the iPad. This should be fun! A $499 home automation controller is perfect — the iPad is Myro Control’s wireless home controller!

This is excellent.
I've been looking for a financially viable solution for a Automation touchscreen to substiute the wildly expensive Omnitouch 10p, and it seems with your software running on an iPad there may finally be a solution.
A few questions:
1. Will your App natively run in Portrait Mode? This will be great if possible, so the iPad can live in the charging dock (I believe portrait only) whilst still running the App.
2. Can I 'Lock' the App, so the iPad doesnt return to the home screen, without a certain key combination. "Embedded" so to speak?
3. Is it possible to build in a "Screen Saver" into the App, so that if it isnt being used, it becomes a Digital Picture frame, then returns to the touchscreen if the iPad is picked up or touched.
4. Will it be able to control HAI's HTX, for IR control of Home theatre equipment, basically making the iPad a perfect Universal Remote?
Thanks for your time, I may be purchasing several in the coming year or two!
Hi Tony,
1) Yes, I will be writing a native iPad version.
2) We'll need to look into this. Doesn't seem like you can "lock" the app as the home button on the iPad functions just like the iPhone/Touch... it brings you back to the home screen on the device.
3) I think there is a screensaver (picture viewer) by default of the iPad -- we will know know once the device is released
4) Media control is in the works... :D
Cheers!
Danny

Hey Danny, are you going to market the iPad version of Myro:Home iPhone? I think it could spare me a lot of trouble, and I've been looking for a similar software tool for weeks. Gene Haas
