Tablet-Style 7” Portable DVD Player

Why spend your hard earned money on an over priced Portable Media Player when you can get a compact tablet-style 7” Portable DVD Player for about $300? If I were in the market for a portabe video player, I’d consider this as an option. It has a big (compared to all the other media players) 7” widescreen display, plays DVD-Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, MP3 CD, and JPEG image CDs, comes with a lithium-ion battery that provides up to 3 hours of DVD playback, and even has built-in stereo speakers… all this in a foot print of 7.9” wide x 1” deep x 6” tall. It seems like RCA is using a laptop DVD-ROM drive to achieve the ultra thin size… now that’s smart! Oh, and because it plays back MPEG2, you won’t need to transcode… just plop in your DVDs and be entertained.

I Would prefer if it had Divx Functionality Myself.
It would be absolutely over the top if it USB (2.0) or FireWire. At least it has AV in and out.
Looks nice but $300 is to high. $149 or $199 would be worth it.
“Looks like a rebranded Nextbase unit.”
It does but for $85 less… nothing wrong with that.
I also am having a problem reading MPG files. I have tried DVD-R and DVD+RW disks. I keep getting Bad Disk messages.
What did he just say. “guide us how to proceed further” LOL
