Gefen is about to release their Gefen tv HD PVR which, get this, can record from an HDMI source. The unit includes a built-in 80GB hard disk drive which will give you up to 18 hours of HD recording at resolutions up to 1080i. It also includes a SD card slot which you can record video onto as well for easier file transfers. Since the content is recorded in MPEG-4 H.268, you will be able to play back the videos on almost any computer.
