If you have a Russound RNET capable (Russound CAA66, CAM6.6, CAV6.6, MCA-C5 or ACA-E5 multiroom controller) whole house audio system and would like to add control via your iPhone or iPod Touch, then you need the new Touchpoint TCH1.
“Russound’s RNET Touchpoint allows for direct access and remote control of a multiroom audio system from an Apple iPhone™ or iPod touch®. The Touchpoint provides two-way Radio Frequency remote control of any zone in a Russound RNET enabled multiroom audio system with two-way metadata feedback.”
The unit retails for $599 and can be purchased through your authorized Russound installer/dealer. If you don’t have a dealer, Mavromedia is an authorized Russound dealer.

Honestly that seems like a ridiculous price. You can already do this with digital dan's iPhone app + an HAI, and for $599 you can pretty much buy an HAI instead.
Max,
I can see how the price could seem ridiculous, however, as a user of digital dan's iphone application + HAI is not a solution that can be used in mid-to-high end systems. DIYer's can deal with unpolished solutions, but, as an installer you cannot afford to use non-supported applications with paying customers. Are there other ways to control the system, absolutely. This is the only one supported by Russound. Myro:Home can control the Russound through HAI and I will have an iPhone app as well... it's still great to see companies adding this kind of support to their products!

I love this new option to control my Russound system,I only have one remote,so in the past when I'm on my deck in bright sun shine the remote wouldn't work, l had to bring out my lap top to change play list on the media server.
Now l will buy this just for the control of my russound and get the ipod as bonus remote and a mp3 player.

Wait, why can't you just use an Apple Airport/Airtunes as the input into a Russound device, as well as the control point for you iPhone? Seems like this is about $500 too much.
You can, I have an input setup like that as well. However, you lose the control from the Russound keypads. You can do whatever you want, Russound is just providing people with the option. If you think $500 is too much then the product is not meant for you.

I can't get the iphone to show the volume adjustment or be able to use the screen to change the tuner station. Is this an Iphone problem? I have downloaded the latest firmware.
Not sure... did you install it or your dealer?
Danny -- I, too, had this problem of difficulty seeing the volume controls for my various sources. If I jumped sources, then I could get the volume control to appear.
Then, this past weekend, I upgraded to the latest firmware. The improvement in iPod controls is palpable and welcome. However, the volume control is completely inaccessible. I am completely disappointed in Russound's QA process, and I have quite higher expectations considering the cost of this component.
