LANTRONIX UBOX 2100 — Use USB Devices over the Internet
UPDATE: Video Review is now online.Lantronix has been creating great products for use in the home automation space for a while now and their latest creation continues on this trend.
The UBox enables you to access devices like web cams, speakers, microphones, sensors, security access equipment, multi-function printers, hard drives, scanners - even Apple iPods over the Internet.
I have limited information about this device, however, I believe you can also synchronize with devices over the web with the Ubox 2100 — pretty cool stuff! I will try to get one of these to test with, but if anyone has any more details on this device please post them in the comments.
UPDATE: Here is a link to more details about the unit. I’m also getting a unit to review so expect a full review soon.

Even if it works. It will be slooooow. I do not think I will be one of the first to buy one. The idea of running a web cam over a device like this…. Will never work at an acceptable rate. Maybe over a LAN but not over the internet.
