Since I'm building a FPV (first person video) based quadcopter, I need something that will display the copters telemetry a display or goggles. I'm going with the Minim OSD v1.1. I like that it is a mini Arduino (328P) based on-screen display board.
My buddy Steve over at Finkbuilt just posted a new video on his YouTube channel he shot from his 250 sized Quadcopter and it's spectacular! Steve took this video at Gas Works Park on a nice sunny Seattle day capturing the experience in HD. He gets around a 6 minute flight time from the copter he built. I'm hooked -- Steve, I want one!!
I prefer to buy Made In U.S.A. products when I can and was surprised to find out that Probe Master makes their probes right here in America. While you can find multimeters still made in the U.S.A. (Fluke), the test probes are typically made in China.
A few years back I wondered why Apple didn't adopt NFC (Near Field Communication) for the iPhone and iPad. I'm actually happy they didn't because iBeacon or Bluetooth (4.0) LE (Low Energy) seems like a much better (useful) technology than NFC. Especially in the context of Home Automation.
Mavromatic demonstrates the PentaRef by VoltageStandard.com using an Agilent 34461A 6.5 Digit Multimeter. The PentaRef is a great tool to test the accuracy of your digital multimeter (DMM) easily.
